Darpa Underwear Will 'Harvest' Soldiers' Energy, Give Them Killer Abs

An “underwear for the future” is in the process of being developed for our men and women in uniform.  This new technology will help to prevent injuries, keep vitals in check, and possibly even ‘harvest’ energy.  The “underwear” is a suit that essentially looks like an adult onesie. The article explains that this project is still in the drawing board stage and “a long way off from the ‘adaptive, compliant, nearly transparent, quasi-active joint support suit,’ which can ‘mitigate musculoskeletal injury caused by discrete dynamic events while maintaining soldier performance,’ dreamed up by Darpa.”

This new military technology in the works is certainly something that our soldiers both need and deserve.  Many different kinds of injuries occur, whether directly or indirectly, in the armed forces.  If scientists are able to get these uniform “underwear” into common use, soldiers will be more comfortable and better protected on a daily basis.
